Island Songs – 5 Years Old

“Today marks 5 years since Island Songs was released. To this day, it’s one of my favourite projects I’ve ever worked on. The idea was to explore a different side of Icelandic musicality and honour the incredible talent and artistry of the locals that give so much to their communities. There’s such great work being done in the towns and villages around Iceland that doesn’t get the attention that it should. It’s a foundational part of shaping musical landscape of the country and many of the artists that have then brought Icelandic music to the global stage.”
